Israelis killed
‣ 1,548 killed, 50 of them children;
‣ 1,162 Israelis and foreign nationals on October 7, 2023:
◦ 766 of them civilians, 38 minors;
◦ 348 of them soldiers since ground warfare began.
‣ At least 36 hostages’ bodies are still held in captivity.
Palestinians killed
‣ 42,065 persons brought to hospitals (NOT including mass graves, or whoever was not registered in hospitals) as of July 10, 2024. Over 60% of them women and children, 34,344 of whom were identified (as of October 2, 2024). Among those identified:
◦ 11,355 children (and about 6,000 unidentified bodies), 710 babies under one-year-old (born and killed in the war);
◦ 902 families were wiped off the face of the earth;
◦ 38 children died of Malnutrition and dehydration;
◦ 6,297 women;
◦ 2,955 elderly persons;
◦ 13,737 men.
‣ Also reported:
◦ 986 medical team personnel;
◦ 85 rescue team personnel;
◦ 174 journalists;
◦ 300 aid workers.
Israelis wounded
‣ 5,500 wounded on October7, 2023;
‣ 2,319 soldiers wounded during ground warfare.
Palestinians wounded
‣ 97,390 persons wounded;
‣ 12,000 wounded in critical condition, awaiting evacuation;
‣ 39% (6,075 out of 15,600) applications for evacuation were approved but not all actually evacuated;
‣ Since the closure of Rafah Crossing (in May 2024), 229 ill or wounded persons evacuated, and 316 accompaniers.
Israelis kidnapped into captivity
‣ Of the 256 who were kidnapped (alive or dead), 35 were foreign nationals working in Israel;
‣ 101 persons have remained in captivity/hostages, at least one-third of them killed;
‣ According to testimonies, some of these are victim of attacks, even sexual ones, as well as especially harsh physical and mental conditions.
Palestinians detained
‣ About 4,500 persons have been arrested (estimated number, no precise information available)’
‣ Of these, 312 are medical team personnel;
‣ About 40 are known to have died in custody;
‣ Testimonies of abuse and even sexual assaults.
Israelis displaced
‣ 29 localities have been evacuated in the Gaza area;
‣ 21 localities have been evacuated in the Israeli north;
‣ In total – 143,000 displaced persons in the north and south.
Palestinians displaced
‣ 1.9 million persons displaced;
‣ 84% of the Gaza Strip population needs urgent evacuation;
‣ 1.34 million need shelter;
‣ 1.5 sq.m. per person in the displaced persons camps.
Hunger
‣ 96% of the Gaza Strip population experiences a nutrition crisis level 3 or more (out of 5 levels);
‣ 495,000 persons experience a life-endangering, acute nutrition crisis (level 5);
‣ Over 96% of the babies ages 6-23 months suffer absence of appropriate nutrition;
‣ 346,000 children under the age of five, and 160,000 pregnant women and nursing mothers do not receive proper nutrition:
‣ 50,000 children suffer acute malnutrition.
Education
‣ 625,000 school children have no educational framework for a year now;
‣ 10,479 school children and 423 teachers have been killed;
‣ 16,300 school children and 2,479 teachers have been wounded;
‣ 87% of the schools have been either totally destroyed or not functioning;
‣ 17,000 children are orphaned and have no parental assistance;
‣ About one-million children are undergoing mental and psycho-social distress.
Health
‣ 17 out of 38 hospitals are only partially functional;
‣ 11 field hospitals are functional;
‣ 65% of the health institutions have been directly attacked;
‣ 130 ambulances have been totally destroyed;
‣ 12,000 cancer patients are not being treated;
‣ Rescue workers are working at 20% of their potential (due to lack of fuel, equipment, manpower, inability to reach sites because of bombings) so that 15,600 emergency calls have not been looked into;
Destruction
‣ 78.2% of the farmland in the Northern Strip have been destroyed;
‣ 67.6% (average percentage in entire Strip) of the farmland have been destroyed;
‣ 80% of the commercial structures have been hit;
‣ 87% of the residences have been destroyed (141,000 totally, 270,000 significantly hit);
‣ 68% of the roads;
‣ 70% of the livestock annihilated;
‣ 52% of the agricultural wells;
‣ 44% of the greenhouses;
‣ 70% of the fishing boats and equipment;
‣ 395,000 tons of solid waste has not been removed, due to inability…
‣ These data do not include the present assault of the Northern Strip which has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis. About 400,000 persons are under siege with no food, water or medication;
‣ Reports of sniper fire at anyone trying to evacuate.
