Palestinians killed
‣ 42,847 persons killed (bodies brought to hospitals and registered);
‣ Of these, 40,717 have been identified (as of October 7, 2024). Among those identified:
◦ 13,319 children (33% of those killed and identified, 1% of children in the Gaza Strip). According to UNICEF there are an average of 35-40 children killed every day;
◦ 786 babies under the age of one year (6% of all children killed and identified);
◦ 7,216 women (18% of all killed and identified, 1% of the total population of women in the Gaza Strip);
◦ 3,447 elderly persons (8% of all killed and identified, 2% of the total number of elderly persons in the Gaza Strip);
◦ 16,735 men (41% of all killed and identified, 1% of the total population of the Gaza Strip).
‣ 1,206 families totally erased (no survivors);
‣ 2,271 families with a single survivor;
‣ 3,110 families with over a single survivor;
‣ 35,055 children lost at least one parent.
‣ In 20 days of siege on the Northern Strip (Jabalia, Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun), 800 Palestinians were killed. Not all were rescued or evacuated so many more are claimed.
Israelis killed
‣ 1,713 Israelis and foreign nationals were killed on October 7, 2023 and afterward;
◦ Among them, 50 children (38 on October 7, 2023, 12 by a rocket in Majdal Shams);
◦ Among them, 356 soldiers during the ground warfare;
Palestinian wounded
‣ 100,544 persons wounded;
◦ Of these, 3,000 minors with one or more amputated limb.
‣ 12,000 awaiting evacuation;
‣ In the 20 days of siege (not yet over) of the Northern Strip, over 1,000 persons wounded.
Israelis wounded
‣ 7,762 Israelis wounded on October 7, 2023 and afterward;
◦ Of these, 2,362 soldiers wounded in ground warfare.
Hostages
‣ 154 hostages returned/rescued/bodies returned – alive and dead;

Palestinian detainees

Palestinians displaced
‣ About 1.9 million persons displaced at least once;
‣ Over 60,000 persons displaced during the siege on the Northern Strip;
‣ 175,000 persons are besieged in Beit Lahia and Jabalia.
Israelis displaced

Demolitions

Humanitarian crisis – health
‣ 3 hospitals in the Northern Strip under siege, shelled. Evacuation capacity of the killed and wounded is limited and dangerous;
‣ Among the partially functional hospitals in the Gaza Strip:
◦ 76% lack sufficient clean water;
◦ 94% lack sufficient sanitation;
◦ 71% are unable to maintain routine hand hygiene;
◦ 82% lack personal equipment for the medical staff;
‣ 669,000 reports of infectious diarrhea;
‣ 225,000 reports of skin diseases;
‣ 132,000 reports of hepatitis;
‣ 18 reports of polio-like paralysis.
Humanitarian crisis
‣ Food – on the hunger crisis scale (5 levels, 5th level reflecting acute life-endangering crisis), as of now:
◦ 664,000 persons on level 4 and upward;
◦ 133,000 persons on level 5.
‣ Estimates for November 2024 – April 2025:
◦ 876,000 persons on level 4 and upward;
◦ 345,000 persons on level 5;
◦ 60,000 children ages 6-12 will experience acute hunger;
◦ 16,500 pregnant and nursing women will experience acute hunger.
