General information

1. Beginning January 21, 2025, Israel initiated a massive military offensive in the West Bank, focusing on Jenin refugee camp and town, towns and villages nearby, later extending to Tulkarm refugee camp and town, and Tubas. The offensive includes ground forces, bulldozers, fighter helicopters and drones, and is on right now, with interpretations of its offensive in the various report items.



2. Beginning January 19, 2025, with the start of the first phase in the ceasefire agreement and captives exchange, the Israeli army has exacerbated its restrictions of movement: significant delays at the checkpoints, checkpoints closed, placing another 12 iron gates and closing them. There are now 900 different types of checkpoints and barriers throughout the West Bank. 38 of them are entirely or almost entirely closed. In 750 checkpoints meticulous inspections are carried out.



3. In the captive exchange agreement, so far in four phases,

‣ 18 hostages, all the women among them (except Shiri Bibas and her children Kfir and Ariel) have been released, as well as 5 Thai nationals;

‣ 472 Palestinian prisoners and detainees were released, as well as 111 Gazans who were declared officially uninvolved in warfare);

‣ 345 of them were released into the West Bank (including 62 women), 70 expelled abroad, 57 expelled into the Gaza Strip (in addition to the 111 Gazans);

‣ Among those released, 80 were serving life sentences.


Palestinians killed

‣ Since October 7, 2023, 923 persons were killed, of these:

◦ 182 minors;

◦ 17 elderly persons;

◦ 18 women.

‣ Since the beginning of 2025, 71 persons were killed. Of these:

◦ 10 minors;

◦ 2 elderly persons;

◦ One woman.

‣ Since January 21, 2025 (operation in the West Bank),

◦ 38 persons were killed in Jenin;

◦ 5 in Tulkarm;

◦ 15 in Tubas;

◦ 11 bodies of killed persons taken by the Israeli army.


Israelis killed

‣ Since October 7, 2023, 44 Israelis were killed, 3 of them minors;

‣ Since the beginning of 2025, 4 Israelis were killed.


Palestinians wounded

‣ Since the beginning of 2025, 256 (partial number) Palestinians were wounded, 40 of them minors;

‣ Since October 7, 2023, about 7,000 Palestinians were wounded.


Israelis wounded

‣ About 250 Israelis wounded since October 7, 2023;

‣ About 25 since the beginning of 2025.


Palestinians incarcerated

‣ 10,221 incarcerated, among them:

◦ 2,025 convicted by court of law;

◦ 2,934 detainees;

◦ 3,376 administrative detainees (no charges or shown evidence);

◦ 1,886 “illegal combatants” (not eligible for prisoner of war status);

‣ No officially updated number of arrests since October 7, 2023.




Demolition and displacement

‣ Since October 7, 2023, 2,372 structure demolitions have been reported, meaning 6,921 displaced persons;

‣ Since the beginning of 2025, the UN reports 106 demolitions (NOT including the operation in Jenin and Tulkarm), meaning 202 displaced persons, 85 of them children;

‣ At Khallet Al Nu'Man (east of Bethlehem) demolitions orders have been issued to 42 houses, meaning 150 inhabitants.



‣ At Jenin refugee camp, 20,000 inhabitants were forcefully evicted, meaning 15,000 persons, mostly camp inhabitants;

‣ At Tulkarm refugee camp, 9,000 persons are displaced, comprising 85% of the camp population;

‣ About 150-180 houses totally demolished by explosion, fire or bulldozers;

‣ In Jenin refugee camp, there is no electricity, food, or medical service. 35% of the houses in town are without running water, and without electricity in the eastern parts of town;

‣ 3 kilometers of roads and tracks have been totally destroyed in Jenin;

‣ In Tulkarm and Jenin there is NO vehicle access to hospitals.


Colonist attacks

‣ Since the beginning of the year, the UN has documented 90 attacks that ended in casualties (54 Palestinians wounded), damage to property or both.
