Wednesday, September 30, 2026 – The Regional War

Day 105 of the negotiations to end the regional war and the exchange of blows between the United States and Iran

Iraq

‣ The United States military withdrew its forces from Iraq, ending the United States' years-long presence in the country. Some of the forces stationed there were transferred to neighboring Jordan.

United Arab Emirates

1. Events:

‣ A Fly Dubai aircraft on a flight from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv transmitted a distress signal and changed course toward Saudi Arabia, flying at a very low altitude. Among the passengers were approximately 150 Israeli citizens. The possibility is being examined that the co-pilot attempted to hijack the aircraft and crash it, and that the captain, who was apparently wounded, tried to regain control of it. Passengers overpowered the co-pilot, and Fly Dubai pilots who were among the passengers landed the aircraft at Tabuk airport in Saudi Arabia, and the two pilots were evacuated for treatment at a hospital. Damage was caused to the aircraft's tail.

‣ Israel requested to send Israeli Air Force aircraft to rescue the plane's passengers in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia refused Israel's requests to send rescue aircraft, but Fly Dubai sent its own aircraft, which returned all the Israeli passengers safely to Israel.

Lebanon

1. Events:

‣ Airstrikes in Zawtar El Charqiyeh, Mayfadoun, Al Mansouri, Nabatiyeh Al Fawqa, and Jarmaq;

‣ Artillery fire on Khiam, Ayta Al Jabal, Haddatha, and Hariss;

‣ Detonations, fires, and demolition of homes in Ayta ash Shab, Beit Yahoun, and Al Mansouri;

Beit Yahoun

‣ A Lebanese army soldier and three civilians were wounded in a detonation of ordnance remnants in the field, as the Lebanese army was securing civilians who had come to check on the condition of their property.
