General
1. The World Food Programme (WFP) reported a massive cut to the aid program for Gaza due to a severe funding shortage. Starting in September, 200,000 rations will be distributed instead of the 400,000 distributed until now.
2. The lawyer of the director of Kamal Adwan hospital, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, detained in Israel without indictment or trial, said on his behalf:
"I am attacked and beaten in various parts of my body, including sensitive areas, with hands, feet, and batons, and I am also beaten following visits by lawyers. I suffer from deliberate sleep deprivation, through noise-making and the use of loudspeakers during nighttime hours, along with threats and warnings against passing any information to lawyers regarding detention conditions. In the past I was injured in the head, face, and other parts of the body, while Israel Prison Service (IPS) records documented an injury to the left eye and complaints of injuries to the head and chest."
