Wednesday, September 17, 2025 – The Gaza Strip

General

In the past 24 hours:

◦ 4 cases of death by starvation;

◦ 98 persons killed (7 of them aid seekers), 385 wounded (87 of them aid seekers).

Since March 18, 2025 – 12,511 persons killed, 53,656 wounded;

Since May 27, 2025 – 2,504 persons killed, 18,381 wounded, all aid seekers;

◦ So far, 432 persons have starved to death, 146 of them children.

Since October 7, 2023 – 65,062 persons killed, 165,697 wounded.

‣ Over 86 persons have been killed throughout the Gaza Strip since dawn.

General

1. Reports of widespread disruptions of internet services in the Northern Strip and Gaza City due to attacks against the optic fiber that feeds communication installations.

2. A TV photojournalist of the Al Quds TV Aljazeera channel was killed in a bombing of Gaza City. With his death, the number of male and female journalists killed by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 has risen to 252.

Northern Strip

1. Al Karama – houses destroyed by booby-trapped robots.

Gaza City

1. North:

‣ Artillery fire past midnight;

‣ Heavy smoke fired in the afternoon at the north-western part of town.

2. East:

‣ Aerial bombings at dawn;

Al Tuffah – bombing of Al Ibqi Mosque near Al Shawa Square.

3. South:

‣ Houses destroyed by exploding booby-trapped robots and explosives;

Al Zeitoun – bombing in the Baptist Hospital area, 2 persons killed and several wounded.

4. West:

Al Shati refugee camp:

◦ Helicopter fire, killed and wounded persons;

◦ Bombing of a residential apartment on Idaya Street, 2 persons killed – a mother and her son;

◦ House bombed, 6 persons killed and several wounded.

Sheikh Radwan:

◦ Explosion of booby-trapped robots on Al Nafaq Street near the Sheikh Radwan pool;

◦ Artillery fire;

◦ House bombed, killed and wounded persons.

Al Rimal – a drone attacks the Al Shifaa Hospital area. 13 persons killed, all of the same family;

Tel El Hawa (south-west):

◦ Al Zafar building bombed near the Ministry of Education, 2 persons killed and several wounded;

◦ Residential building bombed near Barcelona Park;

◦ Destruction of residential houses by explosives;

◦ Night aerial bombing.

‣ House bombed, wounded persons.

5. City center:

‣ Displaced persons encampment bombed in Palestine stadium;

‣ House bombed opposite Al Tabi’in School on Al Nafaq Road;

Al Daraj – a group of Palestinians attacked near the Al Sahaba medical compound, 3 persons killed, 11 wounded.

Central Strip

1. Deir al-Balah:

‣ Artillery fire in the morning;

‣ Artillery fire at noontime in the eastern part of town.

2. Al Mughraqa – artillery fire.

3. Nuseirat refugee camp:

‣ House bombed past midnight, 3 persons killed; a father, pregnant mother and girl, 4 wounded;

‣ Ein Jalut Towers bombed, fire broke out;

‣ House bombed, child killed, several wounded, children among them.

Khan Yunis district

1. North:

Al-Qarara – aerial bombing;

‣ Helicopter fire in the morning and at dusk;

‣ Drone attack of Al Amal in the norther-western part of town, wounded persons;

Hamad:

◦ Displaced persons encampment bombed, wounded persons including children;

◦ Explosion of ammunition near a displaced persons encampment, 3 persons killed.

2. West:

Al Mawasi:

◦ Aerial bombing;

◦ Displaced persons encampment near Al Sahaba farm, 3 persons killed, several wounded.

3. City center:

‣ Helicopter fire in the morning.

Rafah district

1. Massive shooting at aid seekers near the American-Israeli distribution center in Shakoush, north-west of the town, 2 persons killed, 60 wounded.
