General

1. More than a month after his body was seized by police, the Popular Committee in Lod announced the release of the body of Sami Ahmad Ja'sous, who was killed by Yasam (Israel Police special patrol unit) officers on July 1, 2026, after he allegedly tried to stab one of them. The family rejected the police's version of events. After police imposed harsh conditions for releasing the body, the Adalah Legal Center petitioned the Supreme Court demanding its immediate release. Following the petition, police backed down from the conditions they had set.

1. Ziad Bashara, age 51, Tayibe.

Demolitions

1. Bi'na – A home demolished, clashes, two residents arrested.


Criminal Incidents

1. Iksal – Masked individuals broke into a gym and shot a man approximately 27 years old. The wounded man was evacuated to hospital in moderate-to-serious condition.

2. Tayibe – A man approximately 50 years old was shot dead. His wife was murdered about a year and a half ago in Tira, and his son is under arrest on suspicion of murder.

3. Ma'alot-Tarshiha – An explosive device thrown at a business. No casualties reported, but damage caused.
