General
From noon October 16th until noon, October 17, 2024:
‣ 29 killed and 93 wounded persons were brought to hospitals;
‣ 54 killed on October 17, 2024 alone;
‣ Since the siege on the Northern Strip began, 400 persons were killed, 1,500 were wounded;
‣ The death of Yahya Sinwar was validated yesterday in Rafah;
‣ Since October 7, 2023:
◦ 42,438 persons were killed;
◦ 99,246 persons were wounded.
‣ An Israeli soldier was badly wounded.

The siege continues for the 13th day. Communications networks are disconnected so the reports are fragmented and documentation limited.
1. Jabalia, refugee camp and town:
‣ House bombed in eastern part of camp;
‣ Residential buildings inside the camp bombed;
‣ Sniper fire from west of camp, wounded persons;
‣ Bombing of Abu Hussein School sheltering displaced persons as they receive food, 25 persons killed, dozens wounded.
2. Beit Lahia:
‣ Halifa School incendiary bombed while containing displaced persons;
‣ Aerial bombing of Kamal Adwan Hospital.
3. Gaza City:
‣ West – shelling from the sea at fisherman's port;
‣ Tel El Hawa (south-west) – number of persons killed in house bombing last night rose to 8;
‣ Al Rimal (center) – artillery fire. Bombing, 2 persons killed.
Central Strip
1. Nuseirat refugee camp:
‣ Shelling the camp from the sea;
‣ Artillery fire north-west of the camp;
‣ Artillery fire north-east of the camp;
‣ Bombing north of the camp, 7 persons killed.
2. Deir al-Balah – displaced persons tent bombed, 3 persons killed.
3. Al Maghazi refugee camp – bombing, 10 members of a single family killed.
4. Al Bureij refugee camp – bombing in camp.
Southern Strip
1. Khan Yunis and surroundings:
‣ 81-year-old man killed by parachuted aid package;
‣ Artillery fire at Abasan Al Kabira:
‣ Bombing of western part of town, one person killed, others wounded;
‣ Al Fukhari – bodies of 6 persons killed by bombings on previous days were rescued;
2. Rafah – bombing east of town.
