Friday, May 16, 2025 – The Gaza Strip

General

In the past 24 hours (until this morning) 109 persons killed, 216 wounded;

In the past 36 hours – 250 persons killed;

Since March 18, 2025 – 2985 persons killed, 8,173 wounded;

Since October 7, 2023 – 53,119 persons killed, 120,214 wounded;

‣ During the night – 110 persons killed.

‣ 10 prisoners released, one of them with an amputated leg, all hospitalized in Deir al-Balah.

‣ The World Central Kitchen closes the food distribution center at Deir al-Balah. This center distributed 5,000 meals a day. Food has now run out.

Northern Strip

‣ During the night, 11 houses were bombed in Beit Lahia and Jabalia (especially in western Beit Lahia and in Tell Al Za’atar in Jabalia). In addition to massive artillery fire, drone fire and shelling from the sea. Over 100 persons are killed and missing, about 50 bodies were rescued. The families whose homes were bombed: Al Ghandur, Ta’athri, Al Zinati, Al Sultan, Taha, Salah, Al Hassani, Khalil, Abu Ruqba, Abu Alba, Al Qilani. Israeli forces blocked the rescue of wounded and killed persons and attacked ambulances. The rest of the report relates to today’s events:

1. Beit Lahia:

‣ House bombed;

‣ House bombed, 8 persons killed;

‣ Artillery fire from the west, 8 persons killed;

‣ Displaced persons tent bombed in the west, 6 persons killed;

‣ House bombed.

2. Jabalia refugee camp and town:

‣ House bombed at Tell Al Za’atar and while a team came to rescue there was another bombing. Killed and wounded persons;

‣ House bombed in the camp;

‣ Ambulance bombed, 6 persons killed;

‣ Artillery fire at Indonesian Hospital, 2 persons killed;

‣ House bombed at Jabalia Al Balad;

Al Awda Hospital bombed, one person killed, several wounded;

‣ Artillery fire at Al Awda Hospital, 3 persons killed;

‣ Artillery fire at Jabalia refugee camp.

Gaza City

1. Al Tuffah – bombing, 3 persons killed.

2. Shuja'iya – bombing, 2 persons killed.

3. North:

‣ Drone bombing, 2 persons killed;

‣ Drone attack from north-west, 4 persons killed.

4. West – shelling from the sea.

Central Strip

1. Deir al-Balah:

‣ Aerial bombing, one person killed;

‣ Artillery fire at eastern part of town during the day;

‣ House bombed;

‣ Drone fire at journalist compound in Al Aqsa Hospital.

Khan Yunis district

1. Hamad:

‣ Artillery fire during the night;

‣ House bombed, 3 persons killed.

2. Al Mawasi:

‣ Helicopter fire during the night;

‣ Tent bombed, one person killed.

3. Khuza'a:

‣ Artillery fire during the night;

‣ Incendiary bombs;

‣ Aerial Bombing.

4. Al-Qarara:

‣ Artillery fire all day;

‣ House bombed;

‣ Aerial bombing.

5. South – artillery fire.

6. Abasan Al Kabira:

‣ Artillery fire during the day;

‣ Drone fire.

7. Al Fukhari:

‣ Bombing, 2 persons killed;

‣ Vehicle bombed, a grandfather and his 3 grandchildren killed.

8. Bani Suheila:

‣ House bombed, 7 persons killed;

‣ Aerial bombing, 6 persons killed.

9. West:

‣ Bombing, 4 persons killed;

‣ Drone fire, a child wounded.
