1. Fire in Beit Lahia - a 14-year-old critically injured.
Central Strip
1. Al Maghazi refugee camp - a father suffering from post-trauma and his two-year-old son went to purchase basic goods. At the entrance checkpoint to the camp, both the father and the toddler were detained by Israeli soldiers. Accounts of what followed differ:
‣ According to the Israeli army, the father used his son as a human shield and claimed he was a Hamas operative who took part in the October 7, 2023 massacre. He was arrested, and the toddler was handed over to the Red Cross after 10 hours, injured by shrapnel.
‣ According to witnesses, the father was beaten and did not confess to involvement in the October 7 massacre as claimed by the Israeli army. He was taken away, and according to doctors who examined the toddler, cigarette burn wounds were found on his body, along with another wound in his leg caused by the insertion of a sharp nail-like object.
Rafah District
