Friday, June 28, 2024 – The West Bank

Raids and arrests

During the night Israeli forces raided Ramallah, Anata, Azzun, Yatta, Tulkarm, Burqa, Aqraba, Idna, Beit Ummar, as-Samu. During the day, they raided Nablus, Kafr Qaddum, Beita, Kafr Qallil, Anabta, A Zawiya, Arraba, Fahma. At least 15 Palestinians were arrested.

Clashes

1. Burqa, north-west of Nablus - night raid, including snipers on rooftops. House surrounded. Arrests.

2. Aqraba, south of Nablus - raid, confrontations. Teargas and stun grenades fired. Suffocations.

3. Idna, north-east of Jerusalem - raid with live fire.

4. Anata, north-east of Jerusalem - night raid of several houses, teargas fired into houses.

5. East Jerusalem - Friday prayers, restrictions of entry. Policemen prevent journalist access. Violently distanced, elderly man attacked.

6. Nablus - raid with live fire during Friday prayers. 3 persons attacked with blows, one detained for a short time. Then hospitalized.

7. Beit Ummar, north of Hebron - confrontations close to mosque at end of Friday prayer. One person wounded by live fire.

8. as-Samu, south of Hebron - one person wounded by soldiers’ blows.

9. Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya - confrontations during Friday demonstrations.

Attacks against the army

1. Nitzanei Oz Checkpoint, west of Tulkarm - live fire.

2. Nablus - shots fired at army post on Gerizim Mountain.

Demolitions

1. Jaba’, south-west of Bethlehem - demolition order issued for kindergarten, cessation of work for playground.

Attacks against colonists

1. Bat Hefer (Within 1949 armistice border), west of Tulkarm - shots fired at locality.

Colonist attacks

1. Turmus Aya, north-east of Ramallah - colonists attack house. Not for the first time.

2. Beit Furik, east of Nablus - colonists ignite lands west of locality.

3. Al Jwaya, Masafer Yatta - 3 colonists accompanied by soldiers attack Solidarity activist out to accompany Palestinian shepherds. Beat him up in the face and ribs. He was hospitalized.

4. Ras Al Ein, north of Jericho - colonists chase away Palestinians from slide area.

5. Madama, south of Nablus - colonists fire live bullets and attack villagers with blows. Woman wounded by shrapnel.

6. Al Khader, south of Bethlehem - colonists pull out fences and support roads of grapevines in vineyards privately-owned by Palestinians.
