Friday, August 1, 2025 – The West Bank

During the night, Israeli forces raided Jenin refugee camp and town (203rd consecutive day), Tulkarm refugee camp and town (197th consecutive day), Nur Shams refugee camp (184th consecutive day), Tubas, Raba, Zababdeh, Jalazone refugee camp, Beit Rima, Khirbet Karme, Balata refugee camp, Taffuh, Qabatiya, Huwara. During the day they raided Turmus Ayya, Burqa, Al-Aqsa, Sinjil, Aqabah, Al Fawwar refugee camp, Meithalun, Beita, Sebastia, Duma, Beit Ummar, Kafr Qallil. At least 5 Palestinians were arrested.

‣ There is a call throughout the West Bank villages and towns to take part in protest processions after Friday prayers, in support of the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip and protesting their starvation.

‣ 70 women from Umm al-Khair began a hunger strike until the body of Awdah Hathaleen be released by the army and returned, and until all local inhabitants be freed from incarceration.

3. Al Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron – raid with teargas, confrontations, one person wounded by live fire.

4. Al-Aqsa, Jerusalem – the police arrested preacher Sheikh Eyad Al Abasi and threatened him not to speak of the goings-on in the Gaza Strip during his Friday sermon. He was released later on.

6. Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus – raid, arrests.

7. Duma, south-east of Nablus – confrontations with the army after colonists raided the village.

8. Beita, south of Nablus – raid, arrests.

9. Huwara, south of Nablus – house raided. Arrests. One detainee arrested at night was released in the morning.

10. Burqa, north-west of Nablus – raid, the army forces shops and businesses to close.

11. Sebastia, north-west of Nablus – confrontations.

1. Meithalun, south of Jenin – explosive charge activated against a military vehicle at the entrance to the town.

1. Halhul, north of Hebron – paint bottles thrown at a bus.

Al Mu'arrajat, north of Jericho – after the Israel Supreme Court ruled that the community is allowed to return to the place from which it was violently expelled by colonists, the colonists raided the locality again and set afire two buildings. In spite of the court’s ruling that the army is supposed to protect the inhabitants, the army stood by as the colonists ran rampage, and the community left its site once again.
