Data, October 7, 2023 - May 31, 2025 – The Gaza Strip

Palestinians killed

1. Since October 7, 2023 – 54,470 persons killed, among them:

‣ As of March 22,2025, 8,304 killed women were identified (various reports speak of much greater numbers that reach 12,000 women killed and more);

‣ 34% of the persons killed are children;

‣ 23% of the persons killed are women;

2. Since March 18, 2025 (when the ceasefire agreement collapsed and attack against Gaza was resumed), 4,201 persons have been killed (as of June 1, 2025), of these (as of May 31, 2025):

‣ As of May 28, 2025, 2,483 families were completely wiped out, 5,260 families remained with only one survivor”

‣ 40,000 orphans, of these 17,000 have lost both parents.

4. During the past week and since the aid distribution centers began operating, over 100 persons were killed there and in their surroundings:

‣ Every 15 minutes a man is killed, on the average;

‣ Every 40 minutes a child is killed, on the average;

‣ Every 60 minutes a woman is killed, on the average.

Israelis killed

‣ Data refer only to the Gaza Strip, and do NOT include persons killed in the north of the country or the West Bank.

‣ 245 persons were either killed at home or kidnapped and then killed;

‣ 400 were killed in parties in Re’im and Nirim.

2. After October 7, 2023 – 415 soldiers (both genders) were killed in the ground invasion of the Gaza Strip. 12 of them since March 18, 2025 (when the ceasefire agreement collapsed and the attack was resumed).

Palestinians wounded

1. Since October 7, 2023 (as of June 1, 2025) 124,693 Palestinians were wounded.

2. Since March 18, 2025, (as of June 1, 2025) 12,652 Palestinians were wounded. Of them (as of May 31, 2025):

4. About 14,000 are awaiting evacuation because of wounds or illness condition;

‣ 4,700 have lost limbs, including 800 children;

‣ 1,500 have lost their eyesight;

‣ 12,500 cancer patients are untreated.

Israelis wounded

1. On October 7, 2023, about 5,400 Israelis and foreign nationals were wounded.

2. Since October 7, 2023, 2,683 soldiers (both genders) have been wounded.

Israeli kidnapped hostages

1. On October7, 2023, 251 civilians and soldiers were kidnapped, in addition to the 4 who were already held hostage.

‣ 197 have been returned (40 of them dead), mostly in “deals”;

‣ As of June 1, 2025, there are 58 held in the Gaza Strip, of whom 35 have been declared dead.

Palestinians detained

‣ Israel refugees to disclose the number of its detainees/prisoners. It is estimated that about 4,500 have been taken prisoner.

1. Since March 18, 2025, 63 persons have been released in various health and mental conditions. It is estimated that about 2,000 remain detained.

‣ 40 have died during their incarceration;

‣ 3 doctors were tortured and died;

2. According to reports and testimonies of persons released, the detainees are held under extremely harsh conditions, tortured, starved, and even sexually assaulted.

Destruction

‣ 80% of the Gaza Strip is under military control and expulsion orders.

1. The following data refer to significant or complete destruction:

‣ 92% of the residences;

‣ 70% of all buildings;

‣ 88% of schools;

‣ 81% of the road system;

‣ 719 water wells;

‣ 3,760 kilometers of electrical nets;

‣ 330 kilometers of water pipes;

‣ 89% of the sanitation facilities;

‣ 44 food distribution centers;

‣ 33 community kitchens;

‣ 81% of farmland;

‣ 83% of farming irrigation reservoirs;

‣ 72% of the fishing fleet;

‣ 97% of the cattle has been destroyed;

‣ 60% of the goats;

‣ 64% of the sheep;

‣ 50% of the hospitals are functional and partly so;

‣ 53% of the field hospitals are functional and partly so;

‣ 39% of the clinics are functional and partly so;

‣ The only hospital with dialysis machines was completely destroyed.

Food and water

1. 90% of the families report either water shortage or no access to clean water.

2. According to the IPC that analyzes and divides the situation to 5 levels of food stress (5 being the worst) – the forecast for April-September 2025 si that 100% of the Gaza Strip’s population (2.1 million persons) will experience or already experience level 3 malnutrition or over. 1 million will experience or already experience level 4.

‣ 470,000 persons will experience or already experience level 5;

‣ 70,500 children under the age of 5 will need acute malnutrition treatment;

‣ 14,000 pregnant and nursing women will need acute malnutrition treatment.
